‘The Vampire Diaries’ A Werewolf In Mystic Falls (SPOILERS)

Written by Violet on November 15, 2010 – 9:24 am -

The Vampire Diaries has only two new episodes left between now and the holidays so they have to pack the kinda punch that keeps everyone hooked until the January 2011 shows. The big teaser all season long has been will Tyler (Michael Trevino) Lockwood activate the curse (yes!) and when will his transformation to a werewolf be seen. Executive producer Julie Plec explained the upcoming December 2nd episode like this:

“They shot it (the transformation) over two days. Closed set, special effects makeup guys, visual effects guys, Michael Trevino ready to rip out his soul and expose it bare to the world. I think if it’s even half as good as what we want it to be, it’s gonna be amazing.”

This part we already knew, but what she says next is kinda spoilery so don’t go further if you don’t want to know!

The Vampire Diaries: Ian Somerhalder Says Damon Becomes Human With Elena

Written by Gossip Gal on October 7, 2010 – 6:13 pm -

The Vampire Diaries” actor Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore in The CW’s hit show, doesn’t believe a romance between Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon will happen anytime soon. Elena would have to be crazy to give Damon a chance.

Vampire Diaries: Damon And Elena Romance On The Way!

However, Ian admits that Elena makes Damon more human. Vampire Diaries fans want Elena and Damon to get together… I do! That would spice things up and could be a breaking point for the Salvatore brothers.

“I think she’d be crazy,” he said. “Damon is so dangerous, does all the wrong things, acts from a selfish place.”

He added: “I know this is going to sound contradictory, but the only time you ever see Damon acting remotely human is around Elena… There’s all these conflicting issues and emotions and thoughts.

“Elena brings out the good in Damon and in many ways Damon brings out the good in Elena. I think sometimes the people who do that to you, you often have the most complicated relationships with.”

There’s one “minor” obstacle in Elena and Damon’s way… he actually temporarily killed her brother Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). Elena would be able to easily forget what a monster Damon can be, but she is the only one that will be able to change him. And Elena is the only person Damon actually cares about.

The Vampire Diaries SPOILERS: Who Is Going To Die?

“I think it would be a long road for him and Elena,” he said. “I can’t imagine how he’s going to get back in her good graces. Short of ripping her necklace off and compelling her to forget, I don’t know how you get over that. The only truly redeeming quality I think Damon has is that he will do anything to protect her.”

Who is rooting for Damon and Elena to eventually get together in the future? There is still a long way to go, but Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) is also not exactly that perfect “person” he appears to be. The vegan vampire goes nuts with a taste of human blood. I tell you no more…

The Vampire Diaries: Candice Accola’s Caroline Vampire Transformation

Written by Gossip Gal on September 30, 2010 – 7:15 pm -

The Vampire Diaries” actress Candice Accola was surprised with a major transformation in her character’s life – Caroline Forbes was killed by Katherine (Nina Dobrev) while she had Damon Salvatore’s (Ian Somerhalder) blood running through her veins. Caroline became a vampire!

The Vampire Diaries SPOILERS: Who Is Going To Die?

Executive producers, Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec explained they wanted someone human to be part of the vampire storyline in a different and more complex plot adjacent to the fascinating love triangle between Damon, Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) and Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley).

“One of the things Julie and I both struggled with last year were the supporting characters,” Williamson said. “Everyone seemed to zero in on the love triangle and anyone involved in the supernatural world had a lot of story.

“We struggled to incorporate any human in the dark into the story. We want humans in the show, but we needed an element that would involve the other supporting characters.”

The question is: for how long will Caroline be able to survive as a vampire? Check out SPOILERS Below Read more »

Vampire Diaries: Damon And Elena Romance On The Way!

Written by Gossip Gal on September 20, 2010 – 6:53 pm -

The Vampire Diaries” executive producer, Kevin Williamson, promised there will be new developments that will lead to a real romance between Damon Salvatore (played by Ian Somerhalder) and Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev), who is his brother Stefan Salvatore’s (Paul Wesley) girlfriend.

YAY! Damon and Elena’s romance would be like super hot, extra sexy and kind of forbidden. And those are the right ingredients for the success of the second season… or third season of The CW’s hit show. Elena will need some time to forgive Damon’s reckless behavior.

Williamson explained: “The premiere for me was our underhanded way of saying that this is the year we have to deal head on with the relationship between Damon and Elena.”

“I think he has such a long road to haul before he can ever be a viable option in her eyes. He’s done so many horrible things – his attack on Jeremy being the worst. I don’t know how you ever get over such a deliberately evil move. It’s going to take a long time for her to get over that. But as Katherine said, hate is the beginning of most love stories.”

He continued: “It’s romantic comedy 101 – they have to hate each other first, and that will eventually turn itself inside out. But whether or not it’s this season or next season, we’ll have to wait and see.”

As much as I love Stefan and Elena’s sweet love and romance, I believe Damon and Elena will be much more exciting together. Sparks will fly. Get ready because they will set your TV screen on fire!!

The Vampire Diaries airs at 8/7c on The CW on Thursdays.

Actress Katerina Graham, who is also an incredible singer, talks about the evolution of her “The Vampire Diaries” character Bonnie Bennett, who returned with a new fearless and confident demeanor, in an exclusive interview for TV Guide.

Vampire Diaries’ Kat Graham Sings “Cold Hearted Snake?” AUDIO

“She’s definitely a lot stronger and more empowered and less fearful,” Katerina said. “She started off as this timid sidekick and she’s been through so much that she’s really had to develop an inner strength. She’s shot through the roof in terms of being more honest. There’s a lot of guilt that if she would have said, ‘No we’re not [opening the tomb], figure it out yourself’, she would still have her grandmother.”

SPOILER: Katerina revealed that Bonnie gets really angry over Damon Salvatore’s (Ian Somerhalder) reckless behavior and she will do something unthinkable in the second episode of the new season of The Vampire Diaries, which will air tonight (September 16).

Peter Facinelli’s Dr. Carlisle Cullen Named The Worst Vampire

Written by Gossip Gal on August 30, 2010 – 5:21 pm -

Actor Peter Facinelli, best known for his role as Dr. Carlisle Cullen in The Twilight Saga, was nominated the “Worst Vampire” by film critic Peter Travers in Rolling Stone Magazine. WHAT?? NO! Peter is incredible!!

Mr. Travers said about Peter’s vampire character, “Facinelli is a solid actor, but playing Carlisle Cullen, the white-haired head of the fang-challenged Cullen vampire family, he looks about as terrifying as ‘Project Runway’ winner Austin Scarlett, whom Carlisle closely resembles.”

LOL! Austin Scarlett?? Oh, I think I see a resemblance. I digress! Carlisle is certainly not the worst vampire ever… I can’t really name a “bad” vampire at the moment, but Carlisle is totally acceptable as a vampire who wants to preserve his humanity.

Anyway, Peter was honored with the nomination and responded via Twitter. Peter tweeted, “Thank you Mr. Travers. As Carlisle is a compassionate humanitarian, and anti-vampire in nature, being the worst vampire was quite the compliment. Although, you had me at “solid actor”. :) I did find the comparison to Austin Scarlett utterly ridiculous though … He has way better cheek bones.”

Double LOL! Peter, we love you!!

‘Vampire Diaries’ Steven R. McQueen On Jeremy’s Transformation

Written by Gossip Gal on August 29, 2010 – 4:20 am -

The Vampire Diaries” star Steven R. McQueen, who plays Elena Gilbert’s (Nina Dobrev) troubled brother/cousin, claims we will get to see a whole new and even darker side of his character, Jeremy Gilbert, in the second season of the show, which premieres on Thursday, September 9.

Vampire Diaries Couple: Candice Accola & Steven R. McQueen Making Out!

Unfortunately, the 22 year-old actor could not reveal if Jeremy will become a vampire after he drank Anna’s blood and took an overdose of pills. Jeremy was desperate and a conversation with Damon Salvatore, who had no idea of what Jeremy was planning to do, finally convinced Jeremy to end his mortal life and become a vampire.

Paul Wesley On Stefan’s Reaction To Damon/Elena Kiss

“Jeremy has been one of the most favorite characters I’ve ever played, just because he has gone through so much, and he has been forced to make so many changes,” explained the actor. “You can only be hurt for so long before you turn hard. And that has been interesting to see his progression as the series has gone along.”

“Obviously I can’t say whether he makes that change or not,” he teased. “But I can say that Jeremy has been pushed around a lot. [In the new season] he starts to push back and stand his ground. He also begins to become a little more cold and calculated.”

AH! Will Jeremy become a vampire? What do you guys think? And how will Elena accept her vampire brother/cousin!?! For some reason, I believe Jeremy will be condemned to live a very painful mortal existence.
