Selena Gomez rocked the black carpet of the 2011 MTV VMAs on Sunday night in a black lacy Julien MacDonald dress with short skirt and long overlay in the back.

The 19 year-old hosted the pre-show and interviewed lots of celebs, including her boyfriend, Justin Bieber and his pet snake (see that video here.) Gomez also hosted the MuchMusic Awards in June this year, adding to her red carpet resume.

Even though Gomez is touring currently, she’s always seems to have another project going – this time she’s working on a new fragrance.

Emma Stone is a firm believer in beauty comes from inside.

The Help actress spoke to YouBeauty.com earlier this month about her character Skeeter’s struggle with that elusive idea of inner beauty.

“I think at the beginning, understandably, she is deeply affected by her appearance and her mother’s disapproval of [her curly hair,]” Stone told the website.

“Skeeter was lucky enough to have Constantine [her family's maid,] who reminded her that she was beautiful and smart and could choose her life.”

Stone, 22, says that coming to terms with yourself is really how you become truly beautiful.

“Confidence is the only key. I know a lot of people who aren’t traditionally ‘beautiful’—not symmetrical or perfect-bodied or perfect-skinned. But none of that matters because all that shines through is their confidence, humor and comfort with themselves,” she says.

“If you know yourself and what you’re meant to do and you find a passion and purpose in life, that is true beauty.”

Taylor Swift is launching a fragrance of her very own this fall.

The “You Belong With Me” singer will partner with Elizabeth Arden for Wonderstruck – a blend of apple blossom, raspberry, hibiscus and honeysuckle scents to evoke a feeling that Swift says reminds her of “magical feelings.”

“Falling in love is a moment every girl daydreams about and Wonderstruck represents that magical feeling of promise and hope and intrigue. It was fascinating to learn that you can layer so many different scents to create a beautiful end result.”

Swift, 21, recalls how her lyrics inspired the fragrance.

“I wrote the lyric, ‘I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home,’ for the song Enchanted about the first time you meet someone. A fragrance can help shape someone’s first impression and memory of you. It’s exciting to think that Wonderstruck will play a role in creating some of those memories.”

Even the packaging is reminiscent of Swift’s personal design. The box will have her lucky number 13 embossed in gold, the purple iridescent sparkle bottle is adorned with Taylor’s favorite charms: a bird cage, the dove and a Moravian star.

Wonderstruck will be available starting in October.

It’s got it’s own magic as Emma Watson gets a little flirty with a very good-looking guy in her new commercial for Lancôme Trésor Midnight Rose perfume.

The 21 year-old is paired with French model Cyril Descours in the new advertisement shot in March in Paris.

Watson confessed to not really loving fragrances all that much until this one.

“I didn’t really like perfumes before because I thought they were heavy, but this one is really light and playful,” she revealed.

“I feel lucky to embody a fragrance I am so crazy in love with.”

Watson and Descours filmed the ad campaign with Mario Testino and the actress said she loved the idea of life’s unexpected surprises.

“What I love about this story that we put together is that it’s almost fate, like chance, that brings the two of them together,” says the star.

“You never know what’s going to be around the corner. That’s what we wanted to get across in the fragrance: that life is magical with little surprises.”

New products are coming for the successful fashion line Material Girl, by Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon.

Starting with intimates and sleepwear this month, Macy’s will add outerwear, party dresses and more denim options in the coming weeks.

Be on the lookout for bras, bustiers, sweatpants and boxer shorts hitting shelves first.

Beginning in August the beauty and make up starts to roll in. Nail polishes and lip glosses, body sprays and lotions arrive by August 15th and eye shadow palettes are available by September 15th.

Lourdes got the enviable job of choosing names for the beauty products.

”It was so much fun getting to pick all of my favorite scents for the Material Girl body products and lip glosses,” she told WWD. “The body products have fun names like Wicked Watermelon, Flirty Fruit, Midnight Magnolia and Sinful Sugar. I chose scents that I loved.”

The new clothing and beauty products are aimed at teens and young women, expanding the line from tweens to a little older customer as well.

Ah love! Or maybe it’s her intoxicating perfume…

Leighton Meester is the new face of Vera Wang‘s third fragrance, Lovestruck and the new commercial has a romantic, Romeo and Juliet feel to it.

The Gossip Girl fidgets on a New York City balcony while a very hot guy, who is so enchanted with her, climbs the fire escape to reach her, bringing her a bouquet of flowers that happen to match her dress perfectly!

Her tousled hair and plum colored mermaid style dress are fairy tale worthy and in the end, the two share a very romantic embrace as the flowers tumble to the ground. Radiant Leighton!

Dianna Agron celebrated wrapping season 2 filming of Glee by getting a very cute new haircut.

The 24 year-old posted the photo of her new look (taken by Tyler Shields) to her Tumblr page with the caption “Merci, Tyler!”

Agron also uploaded a video with the step by step of her hair transformation.

“Season 2 wrap. A remedy to the seven year itch. Finally!” she titled it.

Her Glee costar Jenna Ushkowitz, is in the background as Agron’s long blonde locks cascade to the floor. The Vampire Diaries Michael Trevino is in a very brief shot as well (he is rumored to be dating Jenna.)

High end beauty is Blair Waldorf’s signature, but for the actress who plays the Gossip Girl Queen Bee, the drugstore is the way to go.

Leighton Meester shared with Stylelist how where she grew up helped shape how she buys her beauty must haves:

“Look, I’m a South Florida girl — if you need mascara, you go to Walgreens,” she said.

The 24 year-old Herbal Essences Brand Ambassador continued:

“One of the joys of my job is being able to try all different products, but if I can spend a lot less on something, I’d rather do that.”

She fessed up to her current beauty craves.

“I’m currently loving those CoverGirl lip stains. The L’Oréal Naturale Mascara is great. And I always pick up cocoa butter. It’s 99 cents! I love it!” said Meester.

Beautiful Shay Mitchell got the nod as the spokesperson for Pantene Nature Fusion Basics line earlier this month. Raven-haired Mitchell is going to be featured in upcoming print and media ads starting in February.

The Pretty Little Liars actress sat down with StyleList to talk beauty tips and Christian Louboutin shoes:

Shay’s Best Hair Tip: “Well I would say the one that I like to do is add moisture. For a shampoo and conditioner, I would suggest Nature Fusion Pantene Moisture Balance. That’s honestly the shampoo and conditioner that I use because my hair gets so dried out from being on set. So something that puts the moisture back in it.”

Shay’s Louboutin Splurges: “It’s something that I’ve always wanted and to be able to buy it for myself — I’m very big on that. You can get a lot of gifts, but when you purchase something with your hard-earned money, it’s a whole different story. You appreciate it that much more. Getting to go into the store and say, “OK, today’s the day!” The woman looked at me like I was crazy because I was like, “Take a photo!” We work really, really hard and I’m not going crazy at all but sometimes you have to enjoy life. I’m all about living like it’s your last day.”

The actress also confessed to her cheap beauty find (CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara) and said that she is so “happy” her PLL character Emily came out of the closet to her father. Check out the rest of the interview here.

If you thought these were yearbook titles for the Glee cast think again. They are the names of shades of nail polish you will be able to buy in a new line from Sephora by OPI.

The collection will consist of seven nail polish shades: Slushied, an opaque blue; Hell to the No, a bold purple; Gleek Out, a glittery lime green; Diva-in-Training, a poppy pink; Who Let the Dorks Out, a peacock green; Miss Bossy Pants, a rich raspberry; and Mash-Up, a pearlescent green-gray. Each will sell for $9.50.

A mini set of six for $22 will include Miss Bossy Pants, Gleek Out and Slushied, along with three additional exclusive colors: Celibacy Club, a diamond topcoat; Express Yourself to Yourself, a coral shimmer; and Sue vs. Shue, a navy blue.

There are also nail appliques coming for the true devotee. The polish will get a spot on the February 8th episode (how are they going to work that in?) and the New Direction resident bad girl Santana (Naya Rivera) will make an in-store appearance at the Sephora store in Century City, California.
